Save Money On Your Water Bills

Energy bills are rising every year, and it seems like we’re always searching for ways to save money. Switching energy suppliers is one way to help reduce your bills, but it’s not the only option. There are many other ways you can lower your water bill costs, from saving water and using greywater, to using the best shower heads for saving water. Taking the steps to save money on your water bills will help you to keep more cash in your pocket.

People assume that because you can’t switch water companies, you can’t save. Yet huge savings are still possible when it comes to water bills

You don’t have to spend a fortune on your water bills, there are simple things you can do at home to reduce them. These infographics will give you the information you need and if you want to look further.

There are two ways you can be billed –

1. Your bills are estimated, so you pay a fixed amount depending on your home’s size

If there are more bedrooms in your home than people or the same number, check out getting a meter. This may be cheaper overall so it’s worth checking.

2. You have a water meter, so you only pay for what you use

The Consumer Council for Water has a free water meter calculator that tells you if you can save with a meter. It is free to get a meter installed just head over to your provider’s website and see if you can apply for this.
