Boots Scan 2 Recycle Scheme
Get free points using the Boots Scan 2 Recycle scheme
Boots has made recycling beauty, health, and wellness products easier by introducing the Boots Scan 2 Recycle scheme.
This initiative allows customers to recycle their empty and hard-to-recycle items, regardless of the brand or where they were purchased. By participating in this scheme, individuals can contribute to a more sustainable future while earning rewards.
So, how can you get points for taking your empty products to a Boots store?
First, you need to find a participating store near you. There are only currently 50 stores across the UK offering the Boots Scan 2 Recycle Scheme so it may not be convenient if none of the stores near you are included.
What items can you recycle in Boots stores?
The Boots Scan 2 Recycle Scheme is specifically designed for recycling ‘hard to recycle’ beauty, health, and wellness product packaging, which cannot typically be recycled through household curb-side collections.

- Used and as empty as possible
- Whole/complete in its original form – If a product is dismantled into parts or items such as brushes and sponges are removed and submitted as separate items, they will not qualify.

The Environmental Impact: From Recycling to Repurposing
Once the empties are deposited at Boots stores, they are sent to the recycling partner, ReWorked, for further processing. ReWorked employs innovative recycling techniques to transform the collected materials into new products.
This process ensures that the items are given a new lease of life, reducing waste and minimising the impact on the environment.
Benefits of the Scan2Recycle Scheme:
Convenience: The Scan2Recycle scheme is designed to be easily accessible and straightforward for customers. With the convenience of scanning empty products and depositing them at Boots stores, individuals can actively contribute to sustainability without any hassle.
Inclusivity: Boots accepts empty products from any brand, promoting a comprehensive recycling solution for a wide range of beauty, health, and wellness items. This inclusive approach encourages individuals to recycle, regardless of the products they use.
Rewards for Recycling: By participating in the Scan2Recycle scheme, customers are rewarded with Boots Advantage Card points for their efforts. This reward system motivates individuals to recycle but also provides an opportunity to enjoy treats or discounts on future purchases.
Transparency and Tracking: The Scan2Recycle technology enables individuals to track the amount of recycled packaging. This transparency empowers customers, allowing them to witness the positive impact they are making on the environment.
Conclusion:
Boots’ Scan2Recycle scheme demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. By providing an easily accessible recycling solution and offering rewards for participation
